It is emergency work
Pipes break at 2 a.m. in February. There is an on-call rotation and it is real. If a predictable 8-to-4 is what you need, this is not the right shop — and we would rather say that now than in week three.

Water, fire and mold work across Metro Detroit. No restoration experience required — we hire for attitude and train the skill. If you show up and treat people right, we can teach you the rest.
The role we hire most
You are not knocking doors and you are not chasing leads. By the time you pull up, the homeowner has already called us, the water is already in the basement, and they are relieved to see the truck. In a trade job that is rare — you show up wanted.
It is also more than labor. The readings you take and the photos you shoot are what the job gets billed against, which makes a technician who documents well genuinely hard to replace. Learn that part and you stop being interchangeable.
The honest version: it is physical, it is hours nobody else wants, and some of it is unpleasant. It is also work where you can point at what you fixed, and where the person you fixed it for remembers your name.

Who we hire
We can teach extraction, drying and documentation. We cannot teach somebody to show up, or to be decent to a stranger on the worst day of their year. So we hire for the second one and train the first — and we would rather take a good person out of a completely different industry than a certified one nobody wants to work with.
Backgrounds that work here
If you already hold IICRC certifications, say so — it matters. It is just not the gate.
If none of that sounds like you, we just saved us both an interview. No hard feelings.
Straight up
Restoration hiring is full of postings that read like every other trade job. Here is the honest version, so you can rule us out in thirty seconds if it is not for you.

Most of our work arrives through plumbers, agents and homeowners who have already watched us work. Whoever is standing in that basement is the company that day — which is why we care how you talk to people, not just how fast you set fans.
Photos, moisture maps and daily drying logs are how a job gets billed and how the company gets paid. We train it, we check it, and we do not treat it as paperwork that happens after the real work.
You will know the owner. Good work gets noticed here in a week, not at an annual review — and so does the other kind.

The people on the truck. Everything else exists to support this.
Where the next job comes from, and what it is worth when it closes.
Speed, paperwork, and getting paid — the three things that decide whether the work turns into a business.

What happens next
Two minutes. Name, phone, the role, and what you have done.
Usually within a couple of business days. Not an automated screener.
It depends on your certifications and what you can actually run. We would rather discuss a real number on the phone than publish a fake range on a website.
For field roles, you see an actual job before either of us commits. Nobody signs up blind.
