Matching existing finishes is harder than new construction. Flooring discontinued, paint colors that have aged, trim profiles that are no longer stocked — all of it has to be sourced or matched. This is a skill that separates experienced restoration contractors from new-construction GCs.

Fraser made statewide news after the 2016 sinkhole — residents are hyper-aware of drain line condition, but homes throughout the city still have original galvanized lines.
Housing here is predominantly Primarily 1950s–1970s ranch-style single-family homes. The most common restoration-related issues in Fraser are sinkhole repairs, aging drain lines, basement seepage. Our crews treat each property as its own project — scope, drying time, and rebuild needs are written based on what we measure on site, not a generic playbook.
After water, fire, or mold mitigation is complete, the rebuild is what brings the property back to pre-loss condition. Our reconstruction scope includes drywall, flooring, trim, cabinetry, painting, and finish carpentry. Because we handle both mitigation and rebuild in-house, the handoff is seamless and the timeline is shorter than coordinating separate contractors.
The same documented process on every project .
Xactimate scope is reviewed with the homeowner. Materials and finishes are selected or matched to existing.
New drywall is hung, taped, textured, and primed. Insulation is installed per energy code.
Hardwood, laminate, LVP, tile, or carpet is installed per the scope. Existing flooring is matched when possible.
Baseboards, casing, and crown are installed and painted. Walls and ceilings are painted to match or refresh.
Cabinets are installed or repaired. Fixtures, hardware, and finish plumbing are re-installed.
The project is walked with the homeowner. Punch list items are addressed before closeout.

Common questions from Fraser homeowners before they call.
Yes. We self-perform drywall, trim, paint, flooring, and finish carpentry. Specialty trades like roofing, plumbing, and electrical are coordinated with licensed subcontractors.
Paint is color-matched from a chip or sample. Trim is profiled and matched at a local millwork shop if discontinued. Flooring is matched from the existing stock when possible, or transitioned at a logical break when not.
Prime Restoration is a licensed restoration contractor, not a public adjuster. Under Michigan law (MCL 500.1201) only the homeowner or a licensed public adjuster can negotiate an insurance claim. What we do is document the full project scope in Xactimate so you have clear line-item paperwork to submit to your carrier.
